Dulles, Va. and Utica, New York. More than 4 in 10 Americans (44%), including 50% in their 20s dont believe that they need to be married to validate the commitment of a long-term relationship, according to a survey from AOL Personals (http://personals.aol.com) and Zogby*. This is just one of the many findings from a new interactive survey of Americans age 20 to 69 that tackles how different generations view a wide range of relationship issues from love to soul mates, money and trust. While many dont believe marriage is the ultimate symbol of commitment, there are significant differences among older and younger adults regarding how they view dating while nearly half of Americans said they would date someone who is not interested in a long-term relationship, older adults tend to be more open to dating without fixating on how long a relationship might last.
Fixit: Driving slower burns less fuel
Q A recent recommendation to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and combat global warming was to drive our cars slower. Please explain why driving slower would reduce emissions. Wouldn't it be just the opposite? If you drive more slowly, it will take longer to get where you're going and the car will be on the road longer. A Driving slower may take you longer to get where you're going, but you will burn less fuel overall. To travel faster, you must operate the engine at a higher RPM; this requires more fuel because the car's cylinders fire more frequently. In addition, wind resistance increases at higher speeds, and this requires more energy to overcome. Also, cars are designed to operate most efficiently in a given RPM range, and traveling faster generally has the engine running above this range, which consumes more fuel.
The Fog of War Crimes
Stephen Davis, who headed the regimental combat team, all received letters of censure from the secretary of the U.S. Navy. The censure did not strip the men of their rank or salary, but they will be barred from future promotions, which could force them out of the Marines. According to Gary Solis, a military law expert and former Marine, censure is the Marine Corps' most serious administrative sanction. But, as Cuthbertson points out, the generals are not being censured for letting Haditha happen. They are being punished for not investigating. This is a big difference. Cuthbertson cites the Allied response to the Malmedy massacre in Belgium as one example of taking war crimes seriously up the chain of command. In 1944, German soldiers killed more than 70 unarmed U.S.

Rebel Reinado's message of hate for Gusmao on DVD
This is the new age," Reinado says in the video. "The clandestine movement of today is not like yesterday. So be careful. One day the people will have had enough of your games. And when they do, I will be right beside them. Who is the real liar? Xanana is, has been the biggest liar since 1975. "He has such a big position but he's still a liar." Mr Alkatiri has denied any involvement in Monday's murderous events. Mr Alves maintains his son went to Dili to meet Mr Ramos Horta, not to kill him. "It was just like he was invited down," Mr Alves said. "He came down to resolve things. I'm 100 per cent sure he didn't go to kill the President." UN forces slammed Mr Ramos Horta is stable in Royal Darwin Hospital after surgery on two bullet wounds that partially destroyed his right lung.
Movie Review: Unsettling yet gripping chills in Untraceable are hard ...
Diane Lane plays a special unit FBI agent trying to track a psychopath who tortures people and animals to death in the most gruesome ways for the entertainment of Internet viewers in the kinky chiller Untraceable. Untraceable has elements of the Saw movies (although not quite as grisly) and even recalls the final terrifying woman-in-peril sequence from Silence of the Lambs. It has moments that are creepily chilling, especially as the insane torturer sets up — or appears to be setting up — his next victim. And it has a strong cast, led by Lane, that sucks us into the film's increasing sense of dread. Director Gregory Hoblit has been playing creepy mind games on audiences since 1996's Primal Fear, which put Edward Norton on the map with an Oscar nomination, and most recently in the twisty thriller Fracture, starring Anthony Hopkins and Billy Burke, who plays a Portland, Ore., police detective in Untraceable.

Back to the turn of the century
Memories of being best friends forever and promises of love flooded their minds as they waited to open the can.“Good memories," said Jasper Jackson, now a senior at Salem High School. While catching up, the group waited anxiously for their former fourth-grade teacher, Ashley Duffey , to open the tin and discover what they placed inside.Duffey didn't remember everything the students placed inside but she recalls telling the students to write their future dreams and wishes along with drawing a picture of how they thought they would look.“I think I put something stupid in there," said Tyler Brown, a senior at Patrick Henry High School. “I just want to see."Tyler brought along his mother, Bonnie Brown, to the event. Brown, who often volunteered with Tyler's class while he was at Raleigh Court Elementary, said she wanted to see if Tyler placed one of her belongings in the tin eight years ago.“I want to see what he put in there, and plus I want to see if he put something he wasn't supposed to in there," she said.

Steve Harvey Offers Hope For Black Radio
As black history month comes to a close, it is worth drawing attention to bright spots in black culture. One is comedian Steve Harvey's morning radio show. Harvey brings challenging commentary on aspects of black life using critical humor. Together with other solid black radio programs, Harvey's show renews hope that African-Americans will successfully address the moral and socio-economic ills troubling their communities. Unlike many black radio personalities, Harvey is not afraid to call out ignorance. The morning show caught my attention several months ago when Harvey made a public declaration that he would never play misogynistic music that degrades black women. This type of direct, on-air leadership will help put a dent in a genre of music that is rending the social fabric of our society.
